Rosie is a woven textile designer weaving fabrics for interiors.
She graduated from Bath Spa in 2013 with a BA Hons in Textiles for Fashion and Interiors.
She now works from her studio in York and takes inspiration from nature and her surroundings, such as the Yorkshire Dales, York Moors and the Yorkshire coastline.
Rosie knew early on that her strength was working with colour. When she discovered weaving during her studies, she saw the potential to work directly with colour on the loom. She found she could express herself through colour and texture, creating cloth from the individual yarns.
She is interested in how weaving can positively effect mental health and has studied its benefits on mood and general sense of well being.
Rosie has exhibited at York Open studios, Art In The Pen, Danby Christmas Market and the York River Art Market and has also been featured in Aesthetica Magazine's artists directory.
